  1.          CAT - a - DISK is a disk cataloging program written in Turbo
  2.          Pascal (TM Borland Int.).   The program is designed to allow
  3.          the user to compile a catalog of all of their floppy disks
  4.  
  5.          The features of this program are as follows:
  6.  
  7.                  1.  Catalog up to 2200 filenames on floppy (unlimited
  8.                      on a hard disk)
  9.                  2.  Ability to select and use different catalog names
  10.                  3.  Catalog filenames from any drive on your system.
  11.                      (The program automatically detects what drives
  12.                       are available on your system.)
  13.                  4.  Monochrome or color monitor operation at the
  14.                      touch of a key.
  15.                  5.  Add comments of up to 30 characters to describe
  16.                      or identify each file.
  17.                  6.  Catalog from disk root directory and up to three
  18.                      sub directories deep
  19.                  7.  Consolidated listings of all files in
  20.                      alphabetical order by filename in 2 column
  21.                      summary or single column with file comments
  22.                      included.
  23.                  8.  Detailed listings including file comments,
  24.                      directory information or both.
  25.                  9.  Listings include filename, extension, file size,
  26.                      and identifier of disk on which the file resides.
  27.                 10.  Listing by disk identifier printed in a fashion
  28.                      to be cut and pasted to the front of a standard
  29.                      5 1/4" disk envelope.
  30.                 11.  Consolidated listing by disk identifier giving
  31.                      the amount of free space on each disk
  32.                 12.  All listings in a format that can be three hol
  33.                      punched.
  34.                 13.  Automatic warnings to prevent re-cataloging of
  35.                      the same disk twice or two disks with the same
  36.                      identifier.  (The user has the option to
  37.                      continue with re-cataloging the entire disk or only
  38.                      newly added files.)
  39.                 14.  Ability to UN-catalog a disk
  40.                 15.  Search routine to locate the correct disk
  41.                      containing any filename.
  42.                 16.  Ability to add or edit catalog comments at any
  43.                      time.

  46.                           Hardware Requirements

  49.          IBM PC or compatible, minimum 384K RAM, 1 floppy drive,
  50.          DOS 2.0 or higher and an Epson/IBM compatible printer for
  51.          listings.

  56.          This User Supported version of CAT-a-DISK is a fully functional
  57.          program with all its bells and whistles. Catalog information
  58.          created with this version is totally compatible with past and
  59.          future versions.

  62.          laser printed copy of the full users manual as well as a copy
  63.          of the next release of Cat-a-Disk and notification of other
  64.          programs as they may become available.

  68.          found commercially at affordable prices.
